groomsmen

CJaye Sharkey
Best Man
CJaye and Rick bonded over freshman year of college as both were haole on a strange new aina (aka foreigner on the island). They became inseparable while sharing long-winded tales of childhood adventures and struggling through business school together. He aided the groom in the transformation from a boy who once called frozen pizza a great Friday evening, to... well, a slightly older-looking boy with only marginally better eating habits. CJaye lived with Rick for over seven years, which means you know where to go to get all the good dirt on the groom. Currently, CJaye resides in beautiful Seattle-nei, Washington, and is studying for a Master's in Accounting at Seattle University.
John May
Best Man
John kept bugging his parents for a younger sibling, since all his friends at school had one already. Right before John's sixth birthday, his wish was granted, and his parental attention was stolen forever. John has always been the quintessential older brother; he taught Rick at an early age how use his bony elbows as an advantage on the basketball court, as well as many other 'useful' tricks. John has always been a guiding force in Rick's life, so blame him for all the awkwardness. Currently, John lives in Fremont, California, with his beautiful wife Leslie and daughter Charlotte (see Flower Girl!), works as a land surveyor, and teaches classes at a local college.

Scott Morita
Groomsman
Scott and Rick found sports love at first... mention of an obscure backup NFL player nobody had any business knowing. Since then, Scott has dragged Rick into many other athletic adventures, including learning how to play golf, co-captaining a co-ed football team, and participating in a 5k mud-run. Scott is the energizer bunny of this motley crew (seriously, challenge him to a dance-off), and his infectious personality helped the groom to pursue his career dreams, as well as introduced Rick to the lovely bride. Ask him what he was thinking when he invited the groom to a karaoke bar with the Nakamoto sisters, because the groom still hasn't figured that one out. Currently, Scott lives in Irvine, California and is studying for his Master's in Business Administration at University of California, Irvine.
Reyn Teranishi
Groomsman
Reyn met Rick early in their undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii. Always one to assert his dominance, he immediately challenged the groom to a rap battle and won by a large margin (who knew nothing rhymes with orange?). Reyn's the sort of person you go to for a serious conversation that immediately turns into an odd discussion on why Zippy's chili is soooo much better over red hot dogs than the regular kind. Reyn is the entrepreneurial spirit of the group, always coming up with amazing ideas (mainly funny jokes) and pushing the envelope. Before Reyn was around, Rick was just an awkward white dude. After Reyn, Rick has been an awkward white dude with a really funny asian friend keeping everyone positive. Currently, Reyn lives in Mililani, Hawaii and is working in the banking industry as an analyst.
Grayson
(Ring-bearer via tele-conference)
Grayson is a cat. Rick and Nika's cat. He is currently studying for his PhD in molecular biology, when he isn't flirting with all the kitties on the block through his second-floor window. He is the most interesting cat in the world. Grayson is not a big fan of flying, but he is looking forward to the wedding, when he can knock over plants at home and nobody can clean it up.
